NASCAR race lineup

NASCAR race lineup

Something different for this weekend was on the cards and the NASCAR didn’t do much for me. Well maybe it was just this race in general? For 30 laps all I saw was the caution flag out and all these cars unable to decide who should be where in the lineup. Why did this happen? After green flag pit stops they ended up going to caution and then to top it off the race leader Jimmie Johnson ran out of fuel! This led to cars taking the pit stop and the officials trying to get the line up back in order.

It was a picture perfect opportunity, I was thinking to myself how cool would it be to have an aerial photography drone take some great footage of the perfect line up, well not so perfect but the officials finally got them in order.

V8 Supercars Championship – Gold Coast

V8 Supercars Championship – Gold Coast

Who doesn’t love the Gold Coast! And what makes it even better is the V8 Supercars. It was a tough decision to decide between the MotoGP and the V8’s this year to go see live, since they were both held on the same weekend. Of cause the MotoGP won.

This Gold Coast circuit is tight and I’m guessing the drivers would be concentrating the whole time as there is absolutely no room for error here. Once you stuff up it’s usually a big stuff up that ends with you not completing the rest of the race.

The weekend was filled with crashes, and most of the co-drivers doing most of the laps during the event. But the overall race completed 102 laps with Red Bull Racing taking out 1st and 2nd place.

MotoGP and we are off & racing

MotoGP and we are off & racing

motor-sports-bikeThis week we saw the Australian motorcycle grad prix held at Phillip Island near Melbourne. This was my first live event and I loved every minute of it. It was awesome to see they also partner with a charity called You Are My Sunshine (YAMS). I must admit, I have no idea who is who in this sport but the live action was brilliant and so was the sunburn at the end of the day. Note to ones self, lounge is comfy to watch the MotoGP on tv but always remember the sunscreen when outdoors lol.

The brave guys riding these things are quite tiny in size, I mean they are almost little like jockeys…..well the ones I got close to were anyway. There were a few crashes that happened during the event, and these made me cringe as there is no safety cages, soft landing mattresses or someone there to catch you in there arms lol.
